Gina Blue, BSHCM
Gina Blue is a cult survivor, thought leader, speaker, writer, and advocate dedicated to exposing the hidden dangers of destructive cults and empowering other survivors to heal. A former member of the Israel United in Christ (IUIC) Black Hebrew Israelite extremist group, she created the Tales from the Cult podcast to share her story of joining IUIC in 2016 and leaving IUIC in 2018. Gina sheds light on the abuse, manipulation, exploitation, deception, harassment, and defamation survivors often face after leaving and speaking out against cults like IUIC.
Passionate about social issues and personal growth, Gina earned her bachelor’s degree in healthcare management in 2025. Her goal is to work in the public health sector and continue researching and advocating for survivors of religious abuse on a systemic level.
Her social justice work has been recognized internationally.
In 2019, Ms. Blue was featured by BBC News, assisting in their investigation into the murder of Joy Morgan, a devoted IUIC member who was killed by an IUIC leader in the UK.
In 2025, Ms. Blue was a prominent contributor on The Missing Sister podcast that was available on Wondery+.
Gina is the author of the Cult Recovery Guide, an informational micro-guide that is used as a resource to help survivors and families begin their healing journey. Her debut memoir, Tales from the Cult, will be released on October 31, 2026, via Amazon.
In addition to raising awareness, Gina has provided hours of consultation services to families who have been affected by destructive cults. Offering her written testimony for court cases, mental health resources, insights into Israel United in Christ and public education on destructive cults.
